A Cover Supervisor is required for a thriving, busy and diverse Birmingham School.
This is a contract position that will start in September 2009.

If you feel that you could supervise work in accordance with school policy, manage the behaviour of students who are undertaking the work set, respond to needs, create and maintain a safe environment, collect work that has been set and feedback on behaviour and any issues that arise during the lessons, then this is the job for you! Every day will be different!

It is desirable that you are educated to degree level and have the ability to maintain good classroom management. Alternatively you may be an overseas trained teacher that hasn't obtained QTS within the specified time period (4 years), further education trained, HLTA educated to level 4 looking for the next career step or sports coaches. This also may suit someone who is pursuing a career in teaching to gain an insight of teaching in secondary schools.
