Hi there, I’m looking to do some casual child-care work during my final year at university. I’m a 21 year old (almost 22), enthusiastic individual (Female) and I absolutely love working with children! I am in possession of a valid, clear- CRB and have recently acquired a certificate in Emergency First Aid. I have also recently undergone MAPA (Management of Actual and Potential aggression) training and possess the relevant MAPA certificate.

Most of these certificates were gained this year while working within a disabled children’s team as a Play-worker. I have worked with children (between the ages of 8 and 18) with a range of disabilities including Autism, Global developmental delay and XYY chromosome disorder.

Prior to this, I worked in France as an English Language assistant. I was responsible for teaching English to French children (between the ages of 6 and 12 years) through the medium of French.

And finally, prior to this. I worked for 2 years in my university’s nursery as a nursery assistant. I therefore also have experience of working with children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. I will be returning to this post when I return to university in September.

I will be looking to care for children in the Coventry area, but I have transport and would be willing to travel further if required. I will be available most evenings from October 1st 2009, but unfortunately will not be available on the weekends.
