Great opportunity for social workers to join our clients Child Protection team.

Our client is seeking a driven and hard working individual to join our child protection team with the attitude and determination to provide excellent care all year round.

You would be responsible for investigating concerns where there is reasonable cause to suspect that children or young people are suffering, or are likely to suffer, significant harm and to take appropriate action to protect them. To undertake Initial and Core Assessments in accordance with the Department Of Health Assessment Framework. To formulate care plans in partnership with children, young people, their families and other providers of care and assistance based on these assessments and to undertake responsibilities as key worker to children or young people whose names are included on the authority's Child Protection Register. To implement care plans, including arrangements for funding and ensuring that the cost of provision remains within agreed budgets.

You will need to be strong minded and have great communication skills due to the work you will be undertaking. Hold a Degree in social work or a CQSW or equivalent and be registered with the GSCC as a Fully Qualified social worker.


This is initially a 3 month contract however the manager has stated that there is a possibility of an extension and even permanence. The pay rate for this position has been set at £20.00 - £23.00 per hour not including the various expenses. And dependant on experience.
