IT Manager Infrastructure / Systems Support Manager - TOMCAT MySQL LINUX MCSE - £45k

Leading world-wide brand urgently need a seasoned Technical Systems Support Manager (TOMCAT JAVA J2EE MCSE LINUX and WINDOWS) to join a buzzing and thriving team located in Coventry, Warwickshire.

The purpose of this challenging role is to ensure that our client continue to deliver best-in-class services to thier customers through a robust and reliable systems infrastructure.

The successful candidate will take end-to-end technical and management responsibility for the multiple systems which deliver thier leading Software-as-a-Service to customers, you will also provide direct technical support to customers who are installing these applications locally.

This will involve managing and integrating a wide range of technologies including servers, databases and web servers as well as taking responsibility for the general office IT infrastructure.
The Technical Systems and IT Manager role will involve:

* Driving Software-as-a-Service systems infrastructure strategy
* Ownership and administration of our Software-as-a-Service hosting infrastructure
* Implementation and delivery of Enterprise client installations and upgrades
* Ownership and administration of our office IT infrastructure
* Continuous improvement of our system administration processes and procedures.
* Input into the product roadmap to improve deployability and maintainability

Candidates will have had direct experience of the following:

* Configuration, administration and service delivery of J2EE business applications
* Configuration and administration of Tomcat web application servers
* Configuration and database administration with MySQL
* Configuration and administration of Linux and Windows servers, including server side scripting and PERL

The following would also be beneficial:
* Experience of IBM Websphere and/or other web application servers
* Experience of Oracle and MS SQL Server database administration
* System monitoring and service management
* Knowledge of Java and HTML
* Experience of performance profiling and architecture sizing
* Microsoft Certified Software Engineer (MCSE), capable of managing a Windows based PC network. Exposure to virtualisation and VMWare

Demonstrable practical experience will be key, however attitude and personal attributes are equally important:

* Able to operate independently, and as part of a team
