The International Model Boat Show is set to return to the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, near Leamington Spa from the 6th - 8th November 2009. As the only 3 day marine modelling exhibition dedicated to all aspects of marine modelling, visitors are guaranteed a packed hall with club displays, demonstrations and specialist suppliers.

Organisers are expecting over 3,000 visitors to visit the show which now regarded as the premier model boat show in the UK. For many enthusiasts this show provides the ideal opportunity to see the new models on the circuit and new lines available from suppliers as well as talk with others and find answers to their “how to” questions.

This unique exhibition features displays by over 20 clubs and societies with some of the finest marine models on show. The excellent and varied display of models from early warships to modern power boats and ships is complemented by action on the large boating pool. Experts will again be on hand to answer any questions from the visitors and demonstrate their skills in the craft of boat building and knot tying. A total of over 700 models will be on display from the twenty four clubs present.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase whatever they need from the vast range of products offered by the comprehensive selection of over 30 specialist suppliers. Everything from a single anchor to an entire kit.

The show competition of the Society Shield sponsored by the magazine “Marine Modelling International” will again be taking place to find the best club display in the show after the Lifeboat Association display won last year. The battle has already commenced and the accolade of “best display” is going to be highly fought after.

Event Co-ordinator, Karen Kyte explained; “We had a great show in 2008 and are looking to build on this again with the 2009 show. We will have the full range of clubs and suppliers with us plus all the action on the pool from the many varied clubs and associations at the event”.
