Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College require, for September 2008, a talented and well qualified Teacher of Girls' PE to join the schools' PE Department on a fixed-term, 1 year contract to cover maternity leave. GCSE and A-level Physical Education are taught at the school.  NQTs are encouraged to apply and are also offered the opportunity to take up the post from the start of July. The PE Department is comprised of 7 members of staff, 4 males and 3 females. Facilities at the school are extensive and well-maintained. The Physical Education Department has use of 1 large sports hall, 2 gymnasia, a large main hall, 4 tennis courts, 1 grass and 1 artificial cricket wicket, 7 netball courts, 1 hockey, 2 rugby and 8 football pitches. The facilities are used jointly by both school and the community; the school has use of them during weekdays until 5.30pm or later if necessary, after which it is used by the community.

Classes are taught mainly in single sex groups, although this does vary in the upper school according to the activity.  A full range of games is taught together with dance, gymnastics, HRE, trampolining and Athletics at both Key Stages.  Extra-curricular activities play an important part in the work of the Physical Education Department and commitment to extra curricular activities would be expected.
