The old Motor Mills which was the original Daimler factory was at Drapers Fields between Sandy lane and the canal. The main Daimler works moved further away from the city centre in about 1904 and the old building was used as a store until it was bombed in the Blitz.

I am researching the old original building and would welcome a sight of any photographs in any era showing the building even in the background in the distance before or after it was bombed. These photographs would be copied and returned undamaged to you.

I am particularly interested in views from the sides not normally photographed. It was usually the front (south side) that was photographed as shown at the right of the attached image.
