Underwriting Team Manager
A key role within this international brokerage has arisen for a Commercial Underwriting Team Manager to be based within their Coventry office.
As a Team Manager this position will also involve managing the underwriting team, which will include motivating and developing staff to ensure the delivery of a high standard and efficient service and the achievement of objectives.
To maintain quality control of department standards within the team, identifying, implementing and participating in coaching and training where necessary and contributing to the revision of departmental policies and procedures.
To provide technical advice, training, information and reporting, as necessary, to colleagues and management and act as an expert point of referral for underwriting, negotiation and service for external customers in order to achieve high standards of service and optimum business value in line with departmental goals.
The ideal candidate will be well informed and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You'll need to be well organised and a good team player and you will also be computer literate and sound people management skills are essential.
