Support /Care Workers

Your duties will include providing community care to a wide range of Service Users to enable people to remain in their own homes and live as independently as they are able to within the community. To assist service users in and around their own homes with personal care tasks. To help and assist with cooking, shopping, washing, ironing, general housework and other household duties as required by the Service User or as directed by the Care Manager and Supervisor, on the basis of the care plan or service plan agreed between the service user and MBI Homecare Ltd.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Support workers representing MBI Homecare Ltd are expected to have the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of different Service Users, and to possess a caring and understanding nature.
Previous experience of care work, the ability to drive and access to means of transport is essential as the job requires travel. A willingness to learn, to take responsibility and to use initiative and common sense are vital, as is the ability to see that the tasks to be preformed are both important and rewarding
A good Support/ Care worker will be punctual and reliable; will possess a range of household skills. He or she will maintain a confident and reassuring attitude, which will gain the trust of Service Users, their families and carers.
