Cardinal Wiseman is a large catholic school in the north-east of Coventry and we pride ourselves on being a welcoming community that works well as a team. We seek an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor for September 2009 to support the 6th form of approximately 200 students. This is a full time position during term time including teacher training days
 
This position would suit a graduate with recent experience of post-16 education or anyone with experience of working with 16-19 year olds who are aiming for a career in teaching or a qualified teacher looking for a career outside of the classroom.
 
You will be required to use good mentoring skills to support successful learning through work with individuals.  You may be required to deliver study school sessions to a small group of students.
 
You will work with the Head of 6th Form and tutors to support those students identified as being in need of help.

You will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills as well as being ICT literate.
